Should Schools Eliminate Homework?

Yes:

Yes, schools should eliminate homework because it causes many negative health effects to students if the homework is too much for said student to handle. The negative effects most commonly found are sleep deprivation, headaches, exhaustion, loss of weight, burnout and so much more. Homework becomes a primary stress on a student and can cause them mental health issues as well as physical ones. Homework also prevents students from having a healthy social life as it can clog up a student's time.

No: No homework should not be eliminated from schools because it helps students learn the concepts of the subjects that they are learning. This causes them to retain information better and be ready for when tests come around. Homework also improves a students ability to get tasks done so when they have a real job, they know how to do their work efficiently. Homework also helps students be mindful of time management and how they should spend their time.

My opinion: I believe that schools should eliminate homework, not because of how easier it would be on me, (although I guess that IS a plus) but because the negatives outweigh the positives. That being said, I do believe that students need someway to retain information that they learn at school so that it is stuck in their head. This will help them be prepared for tests and other big challenges. Homework however is not the way to do it. The cost of a social life and personal health are far too much for homework to be an okay way for students to learn.

What do I want to achieve next year

I dedicate this poem to my family and friends, Thank you all for being there for me when I needed it most!

What I want to Achieve Next Year and Beyond

What do I want to achieve next year? Well the list is pretty long.

I want to achieve getting  good grades next year,

I want to achieve getting my eagle rank in boy scouts next year,

I want to achieve actually getting an A in math next year,

I want to achieve getting views from around the world on my blogs,

I want to achieve my goals and dreams,
no matter how impossible it might seem

I want to achieve getting my drivers license next year,

I want to achieve just being me,
no can can stop me or prevent me,

I want to achieve many things in my life,
but to do them all in a year would take too much of my time,

I have goals and dreams of my own,
But sometimes it feels that I may never reach those before growing old,

Life is something that I cherish and enjoy while it lasts,
But I wonder if I will be typing on my deathbed telling you how much you all will be missed.

This is a poem for those few friends and peers of mine,
You will be remembered even when I run out of time.

A special thanks to everyone who has helped me grow and become the person who I am today,
Thanks to you all I will be able to look back on this when I grow weary with age in the far away future, and remember the best times of my life and cherish those memories before my life is all over.

Write a Tiny Story Where the Main Character Goes on a Life-changing "Trip"

The Big "Trip"

I was running in the campsite where my boy scout troop was camping in when I tripped on a rope. Before I knew it I was on the ground screaming in pain with my arm feeling like it was on fire. After I tripped, my arm hurt every time I tried to move it. My fellow campers said that I was being over dramatic, but my friend, was the only one (besides my dad of course,) who thought that I was really hurt. In order to stop my self from screaming in pain every time I moved my arm, I decided to not use my arm and let it lie on the side of my body, limp.

After the camp out, me and my mom went to a place to get my arm checked out. It turns out I had fractured the growth plate in my elbow forcing me to wear a cast for 3 weeks. As I recovered I promised myself to be careful around both campsites and ropes. I also told myself that if I had a feeling that an injury was serious to go to someone I trust or someone who is most qualified to address an injury. I also made sure to brush up on some more first aid so I wouldn't make the same mistakes my fellow campers made.

Now that my arm is healed, I am more cautious than I was before and I always make sure I am being safe and responsible. I don't do activities or dares or anything that has a high possibility of me seriously injuring myself unless I am confident that I can do it. I know not to go running at night in a campsite full of stakes and ropes. I had a "Life-changing trip".

Schools in the U.S. Should Go for 11 Months a Year Instead of 9 to Better Educate Students

Yes, because by keeping schools up for longer periods of time, students are more likely to learn more subjects and topics due to the extra time for classes. You can possibly even have more students skip a grade because they are learning so much in this period of time. This also keeps up test scores for the U.S. if we decide to go through with this because students are spending more time studying.

No, because students will have 1 month of summer vacation. After a long school year, students need time to relax and recharge their batteries and regain their happy personalities. I personally enjoy using some of my summer time by meditating in my room or outside. I do this during the first week of summer vacation as it helps me calm myself down internally and find peace. Lots of students need our 3 month summer vacation to relax and spend time with family.

I think that we should not have school for 11 months because it takes away valuable family time and time spent with friends and recovering from school. We need this time to help regain our energy. This is vital because a single month off school is like having another winter break. It's not long enough for students to de stress and relax without having to worry about tests every five minutes.

Are Vaccines Good for Children

Yes, because vaccines help children resist diseases and illnesses by injecting a syringe into the bloodstream and immune system of the child in question. The anti-bodies are sort of a powerful security team inside your body, repelling away bacteria, viruses, and unknown substances in your body. A vaccine injects a killed or weakened form of a virus or bacteria and causes your body to build up antibodies to repel future illnesses without causing any negative effects or illness to the patient in question. Their body is generating antibodies natur

No, vaccines are not good for children because vaccinations can cause a life-threatening allergic reaction to one in a million children. Vaccinations can cause irritation and a slight fever. This also is not safe for someone who has a weakened immune system. Vaccines can also interfere with a person's religion.

My side: I think vaccines are good for children because it helps protect them against illnesses and help out with the children' s future in mind.

Compare and Contrast the Novel and The Film of To Kill a Mocking Bird

Both the film and book of To Kill a Mocking Bird were so full of emotion and amazement. There are some differences and similarities between the two though.

The Differences between the film version and the novel vary. One of the most noticeable differences between the two is that the film left out some segments that were in the book. One of the segments that they left out was how Scout got in trouble at school with Ms. Caroline. We never got to see what school was like for Scout and that is one of the major settings in the beginning of the book. Another major difference is when Calpurnia enters the courtroom and tells Atticus that the kids didn't arrive at home, leading Atticus to find out that they were watching the trial the entire time.
Another difference is that the film doesn't always tell the story from Scouts point of view when the book does.

The Similarities between the film and the novel are more than the differences. One of the major similarities is how each of the characters interact with each other is almost identical to how they treat one another in the book.
