Yes: It has become so common that saying profanity is usually expected and doesn't really shock people anymore. I have cussed a few times with some friends and they are not shocked by it at all. This tells me that people are not as surprised by cussing as they were back then.
No: It still holds power. I will slip up sometimes and say a swear while in front of my mom or dad and they will be on me like white on rice. Sometimes when I cuss in front of friends, some of them will flinch or say watch it. It holds still considerable power. In fact, cussing seems to be looked down upon in schools.
My opinion: Yes, I think cussing does not hold much power as it did way back then. Cussing has become the new groovy of the 21st century. It is so common, that everywhere I go, I will hear at least 1 curse. It is so common it is not even shocking anymore. Here on earth cussing seems to be very common and culture has adapted to it. Songs, writing, even games all have at least one bad word. There seems to be a lot of cursing going around and it needs to stop. I understand cursing if you are in pain such as if you broke a bone, it happened to me, but cursing when there is no need is just plain rude.
I have heard mixed opinions on this topic. All of them have different foundations for their opinion. Our generation has lost its shock value when it comes to cussing. It depends on age group, environment, where you are, and what words you use. It has always depended on the type of person. All of these have same view of no, but different ways of why.
Hey guys! Nick again! Welcome to my second blog! I am a great writer who specializes in writing mostly poetry. I love to read and write in my free time and my favorite subjects are science, literature and writing and I dislike math. I have many books that I would considered as my favorite. However the current book series I am on is The Lord of the Rings by j.r.r Tolkien. I am a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, and Star Trek. I am a very empathetic and happy person.

Romeo and Juliet R + J Baz Luhrman edition
I honestly was ... surprised by this edition of Romeo and Juliet. Guns replace swords and the classic Verona is replaced by a modern coastal city. This movie used all of the character lines from the play and quite shocked me. I was actually confused. I didn't like this edition because I thought that it mocked the incredible love story and turned it into a horrible comedy. I was so disgusted it was horrible. Romeo was an awkward teen, Mercurtio was just different, Tybalt became an edgy person. Just, the characters were bad. Only of the only good things in this movie was that Leonardo Di Caprio was in it. I am just not a fan of this at all.

Should Students be Able to Grade Teachers
Should Students be Able to Grade their Teachers?
Yes: Yes, I believe students should be able to grade teachers because it allows both the student and the teacher to learn and grow and adapt. The teacher recieves feedback from the student, and the student as a result, gains respect for the teacher for taking time to incorporate new ways of learning. Just like teachers, students can also spot areas of improvement, such as advising teacher to be more specific when teaching or giving students more time to write down notes. This allows the teacher to adjust their teaching method accordingly and allows students to improve and get better.
No: No, I believe students should not be able to grade teachers. This is because some students might end up only criticizing the teacher out of spite or because they just don't like them. Teachers as a result can have their feelings hurt and feel like they didn't help the student succeed academically. This as a result makes the teacher seem like a bad teacher and it runs the risk of the teacher getting fired for something they didn't do. All because one student hated the teacher.
My view: I believe students should not be able to grade teachers. That being said, I believe students should be able to talk about what they learned in class overall. This allows people to think about how the teacher in general is helping the student without the student being outright spiteful and trying to get the teacher fired. If a student were to directly grade a teacher, they could have horrible motives and try to get an amazing teacher fired just because the student wasn't a good student.

Write a Love Letter Poem to your Favorite Food
This is for a Literature class.
My sweet love,
I think about you almost all the time,
the taste of your noodles is something I can't get out of my head,
Your sauce makes you look so beautiful,
your noodles arranged in a graceful position,
your scent of Tomatoes sends me flying,
the way you look when Parmesan cheese is sprinkled,
It makes you look irresistable,
You steam when you come out of the strainer,
Your taste is a blend between bread and tomatoe,
Your ability to go with many meals astounds me,
Your flavor is energizing,
giving me the power to do anything,
You always make me go for seconds,
so that I can see you again.
You spaghetti,
complete me

When do you become an adult?
You become an adult when you turn 18 chronological earth years old. When you turn 18 you go to college and you move out of your house. You learn to take care of yourself (Such as those annoying taxes) and learn financial management. You get the right to vote and are responsible for following the law and paying for fines. When you turn 18 parents learn to respect your decisions and you have the burden of being on your own.
Some people become an adult when you reach a certain level of maturity. Maturity comes with age, so if a 16 year old can act like an adult should act and can take care of all the responsibilities an adult takes care of, then they are an adult. To be an adult you need to act like one. That means that you don't just waste your money on meaningless objects, you budget and plan. Instead of buying video games, you spend money on groceries and taxes and making sure that you can get a house and manage a family.
My opinion is that to be an adult you need to turn 18 years old. By this point, you have graduated high school, or not, and you know what your plan is for your life in the future. You take a look at the problems, you solve the math. "How should I save for tuition?" "How much groceries should I buy with a certain amount of money?" Your free-time doesn't happen when you get back to your dorm after doing classes anymore, your free-time is when you get your work done and you have whatever spare time left over. You don't have the time to procrastinate or play games or whatever. You have a budget and a plan, you have a job and you can preform it well.

Bittersweet Poem
Sunset
Me and her sit on the cliff edge,
as we watch the sun go down,
Our hands entwined and our smiles high,
as we watch the night spread,
She looks at me and I look at her,
and rays of light are covered by a shroud,
We lean closer just me and her,
when finally the night takes over,
She stands up with tears in her eyes,
and leaves me with only distraught,
as I lie down here with darkness over head,
Thinking only about her,
I remember the way her face looked,
and the smell of vanilla made me soar,
But just like many love stories,
I have lost my beautiful Lenore,
My heart aches and eventually breaks,
and darkness overtakes me,
But then I feel an arm draw me in,
and I realize it's my family,
My sister hugs me her face full of tears,
and tells me how she feels sorrow for me,
and I hug her back as we watch the dark,
flee in the face of the light,
Our hands entwined and our smiles high,
as we watch the night spread,
She looks at me and I look at her,
and rays of light are covered by a shroud,
We lean closer just me and her,
when finally the night takes over,

and tells me how she feels sorrow for me,
and I hug her back as we watch the dark,
flee in the face of the light,

Hands 2
My hands have changed over the year,
full of experience, memory, and weariness,
My hands are full of life,
Veins and nerves intertwined and full of might,
My hands have bones that have grown so far,
the distal, intermediate, proximal phalanges, as well as the metacarpals and carpals,
My hands have grown stronger over the year,
muscles strengthen and nerves responding faster than ever,
My hands tell my life story,
every touch and interaction,
My hands hold many memories,
the senses and moments of interacting with others,
My hands are very unique,
there are no others like them,
My hands are full of calluses and scars,
each tells how much I've worked hard,
My hands are some of the most important parts of my body,
without my hands, I could not reach the water or food need to survive,
My hands are very important to me,
They remind of who I am and how to stay myself and love me.

What does love feel like
A very unique question that some people ask about is what does love feel like. I will show you what love feels like through poetry.
Love is what makes life incredible,
It slows time and makes the most unbearable moments bearable,
Love is what drives our will,
It helps us out and lets us live a single moment standing still,
Love is what causes that warm and fuzzy feeling in yourself,
It keeps people sane and gives them someone to talk about,
Love is what grants people an enourmous will,
Their bright light breaks through the darkness of despair,
Love is what drives many emotions,
be it jealousy, anger, happiness, or sadness,
Love can be unforgiving and cruel at times,
heartbreak and divorce can cause a lot of pain at times,
Love is sometimes a curse to some,
Reminded of broken hearts opens wounds and scars,
Love is an incredible thing,
It can be shared with many people,
It binds two people together and allows them to share happiness and sadness, emotions of variety, I am so happy that I have people to love and who love me.
