Write a short short story or narrative poem with racism as the theme

Everyone is a human,
no matter what we look like,

Everyone is human,
no matter what we act like,

Everyone is human,
no matter what we talk like,

everyone is human,
no matter what our skin looks like,

Everyone is human,
No matter who we are like,

Everyone is human,
no matter what our community is like,

We all are part of the human race,

Skin color and mannerisms don't determine if you are human or not. We all are the same flesh and blood and bone. We all talk, we all walk, we all have eyes and ears and a mouth, we all have hands and arms and feet and legs. We are all human. No matter what we all make up the human race.

Note to Jem

Jem,

If I had to describe to you what it is like to be a teen in 2018 compared to the 1930's I would have to say it is ... amazing. The school system is way better and deals with students in a more positive way. People are treated equally and the teachers don't punish students like they did back then. No longer is there any wrist slapping with a ruler or humiliation. Teachers try to help students by figuring out the cause of the problem and work with the student to help rectify it. As a teen you have way more of a social life and can chat with your friends without having to take trips to meet them through this process called texting. It involves a mobile phone that you can carry around in your pocket and when you want to talk to someone, you type in the words. You can also call them still.

School is a lot more fun and exciting. You learn all kinds of things here. Sure the workload is still hard, but it is easy to manage. Money and finance is also back to normal. The Great Depression is gone and the economy has actually gotten better. Money and jobs are easy to come by and most families are not poor.

Defend your side; Guns should be banned in the U.S. except for official purposes

This is my own opinion. I respect other people's opinions. However, if I see one comment that offends me or another person it is being blocked and the person who commented reported. I don't care if you are democrat or republican. You have no right to say hateful things. I respect political views. I will not tolerate hate comments. Thank you for your time.

No, I think guns should not be banned in the U.S. because many people who own guns have enough moral integrity to not go around shooting people. My grandma owns a gun and she has it to defend herself in case some one tries to kill or attack her. She doesn't carry it everywhere but she still has it. We can't just remove our second amendment rights. We have the right to bear firearms. We can however have a stricter policy on which guns are banned and which guns are not banned. We need to set limits on who can and can't own guns. Banning an entire way of defending ourselves is not going to stop criminals from illegally obtaining firearms. There are people in this world who will do anything for money.

If we ban the entire U.S. population from owning guns, then whats the point of defending ourselves from threats like a potential gunman.

General thoughts on current state of the amount of shootings in schools in the U.S

Before I start, I will say that what has happened in Florida and in countless other schools is horrific and a disgusting waste of human life and I will not joke or do anything that sounds like a mockery about this. There is no political stance in this. I am merely talking about my thoughts on this issue.

The idea that a student would have such hate in their heart or have such a wrong mentality to bring a firearm into a school and open fire on innocent students and teachers shocks me. Despite being empathetic, I can only imagine what the families of the victims of the countless shootings in schools must be feeling. This is something that no one should treat as a joke or as some prank. People died. Students and teachers have died. Families have been filled with sorrow and despair. Kids have been traumatized. I am not trying to scare you, I am telling you the truth and the reality of countless souls.

I wonder what makes someone do something like this. Why would you bring a gun to a school full of people who did nothing to you and open fire on them. The idea is foreign and scary to me.

The way to fix this is to help the people who have this uncontrollable rage.

Describe a Place You Want to Visit in the Future and Why

I have always been wondering what it is like to visit Naples, Italy. The story behind why I've always wanted to visit this place is pretty surprising.

When I was 9 or 10, I was looking at famous places in the world and I came across the city of Pompeii. I was fascinated by the possibility of being able to visit one the most famous places in history. The story behind this city goes that it was once a Roman city on the side of the volcano of Mt. Vesuvius. On an early February morning in AD 79, the ground started to rumble and the volcano spewed white smoke. People assumed that it was clouds, but soon they found out their error. Later that night the volcano erupted, spewing ash and poisonous smoke. The town was buried and most of the citizens died of the toxic smog. The village was buried for centuries. Then in 1748 a surveying engineer discovered the Herculaneum which was close to Pompeii. Realizing what they found, excavators were sent to discover the remains of the village. They found the city. There were pockets of air where people and animals died so they poured plaster and extracted the molds to find the casts of the forms of people. The city was uncovered completely and is now a national landmark. Vesuvius is now an inactive volcano, but it is still an amazing piece of history.

This is the reason I wanted to visit Naples. Pompeii is part of Naples and getting the opportunity to see it in person would be incredible. I am thinking of saving the money to go to Italy and being able to achieve a dream of mine. I can't wait to see this amazing city!

A Realization that Changed My Life and Understanding of Myself

A Realization About Myself

I remember a kid who was always light of heart. A kid who was care-free and a kid at heart. The kid who acted immature sometimes, but sooner or later, you've got to grow up. You eventually wake from this fantasy world and realize that the world is cold and desolate place where the concepts of care free and having fun are mostly foreign.

It's strange that you wake up one morning and your entire perspective of the world is changed. I woke from my bed feeling as if my inner kid in me died. I was a teenager and I knew I had responsibilities. There was no time for games. You look at those around you and you recognize the ones that are irresponsible and the ones that are immature.

Life is tough. You got to know how to take advantage of life and make the most of it. You have no time for games and babying. You either change or get left behind. That was the day I matured and became more serious in life. I still have the same personality, but I'm a new man. I know how to act and think about my choice of words before I say them. It's simple really. All it took was a push to act more mature and be more serious.

If you act immature in high school, people are not going to respect you. You will have such a hard time making friends until you mature and wake up to the fact that acting childish makes you seem less serious and driven. You need to realize that life calls on the people who are making wise and rational choices and not taking stuff for granted. Welcome to maturing, its when you wake up and get serious about life.

Reflect on a Time When You Questioned or Challenged a Belief or Idea. What Prompted your Thinking? What was the Outcome

Just for the record, this is my own opinion. You have no right to send me hateful comments of any kind. I will not allow this. If I see any horrible comments directed towards me or another person, the accuser will be blocked and reported. I don't care who you are or what beliefs you have, you have 0 right to spout hateful words. This is your only warning. I MEAN IT. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Girls Joining Boy Scouts
When I heard that people were trying to allow girls to be part of Boy Scouts, I was very confused about the entire thing. I thought to myself "Why don't the Girl Scouts just edit their rules and the way they do things instead of disrupting an organization focused on BOY Scouts.

I got mad at the idea that someone thought that it was okay for a girl to be part of an organization solely focused on boys. It made me feel that this is going to turn Boy Scouts into just Scouts and you would have to deal with so many issues such as stupid boys, the possibility of girls ruining boy scouts, having to actually bend rules for the girls and so on.

The outcome of this was my belief that Girls should stay in Girl Scouts. If you want more money and funding to do stuff, make a change. If you don't like the way your scouting program does things. Change it. No one is going to wave a magic wand and be all "your program is good now!" If you want to join Boy Scouts because it is more fun, then make a change to your girl scout program. We raise money to go on trips, no one does it for us. We earn it. Life is not all sunshine and daisies. You need persistence, patience, and action. We do these fun activities because we earn them. No one gives the camp outs to us. We spend weeks organizing and planning these trips! You need to wake up to the fact that whining about not going on trips gets you nowhere. Take action make it happen. Dry your tears and start making a change.

Describing myself for a third time

Hey guys! Nick again!
